The full plan
Our head office → Sigiriya
Pick-up from our head office. Drive into the Cultural Triangle. Park at the foot of Sigiriya rock. Evening exploration of the moat gardens.
Sigiriya at dawn
Climb the lion rock at sunrise — 1,200 steps, 360° views, the famous frescoes halfway up. Afternoon at Pidurangala for the postcard photo of Sigiriya itself.
Dambulla & Kandy
Five Buddha caves carved into the cliff at Dambulla. Drive south through spice gardens to Kandy. Evening at the Temple of the Tooth.
Kandy → Nuwara Eliya
Up into the highlands through endless tea estates. Stop at a working tea factory. Park at Little England — bring a fleece, it gets cold up here.
Nine Arches & Ella
Ride the legendary blue train Nuwara Eliya → Ella through tea-emerald hills. Walk down to Nine Arches Bridge for the steam-train shot.
Ella hikes & Yala
Sunrise at Little Adam Peak (45 min walk). Drive south-east, drop into Yala for an afternoon safari.
Mirissa & south coast
Park beachside at Mirissa. Whale-watch boat (Nov–Apr). Stilt fishermen, palm groves, sundown surf.
Galle → our head office
Morning in Galle Fort. Coastal drive back to our head office. Drop-off late afternoon.
